Geometric wood sculptures
Abstract fine art and custom sculptures by Bradley Mills
Drawing inspiration from architectural skylines and the coastlines of the Great Lakes, I create modern, abstract wall sculptures. Each piece explores the intersection of strict geometric form and organic texture, designed to bring structural balance and quiet character to the contemporary space.
Sculpting the horizon
Each piece is crafted from carefully selected hardwoods that are resawn, shaped, and sanded before being layered to create structural depth. The wood is finished with a hardwax oil to enhance and maintain its texture and grain structure.
Material & Craftsmanship
The foundation of my work utilizes the natural warmth and texture of various wood species. By enhancing the inherent beauty of the grain, I let the wood itself help define the depth of each piece, allowing the materials to speak for themselves
This one-of-a-kind handcrafted sculpture, made from walnut, cherry, and maple, offers a modern interpretation of Chicago, IL, inspired by the John Hancock Building. Finished with an eco-friendly hardwax oil to enhance the natural variation of colors.
